While those in Hollywood usually have others doing the thinking for them, there were some admirable, bar-raising costumes around Tinsel Town these past few days.
Since the weekend, we’ve been flipping through the tabloids, braving numerous paper cuts to bring you the 5 Most Notable Celebrity Halloween Costumes of 2012.
5. Anderson Cooper: Blue Man Grouper
While it’s no secret that CNN’s handsome, boy-faced reporter’s political convictions run blue, Dandy Andy took wearing-your-political-colors-on-your-sleeve one step further, painting his entire body blue and rocking out as a Blue Man Group member.
4. Hugh Hefner: Vampire
Flanked by a bunch of mega-babes (surprise, surprise), minimalist Hugh Hefner donned his usual scarlet-colored bathrobe but chomped on some fangs to pull off a vampire look. While we knew his withering body was in need of blood, we never knew that that dentures came in fangs!
3. P-Diddy: Prince
Turns out P-Diddy took more from Prince than just his fetish for continuously changing his own name. Everyone’s former favorite rapper(?) draped himself in purple, threw on a puffy shirt and got his Jheri curl on to rep Prince at the Playboy Mansion this past weekend.
2. Aziz Ansari: Bane the Tank Engine
As a (creepy) nod to childhood Americana, Parks and Recreation star Aziz Ansari threw together a half Thomas the Tank Engine/half Batman villain, Bane, outfit—covering his face in a leather strap and squeezing into a Thomas shirt.
1. Josh Sundquist: Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story
Being one leg down has given our 2012 Halloween champ a leg up on the competition. Quickly becoming a viral hit is the photo of Paralympic ski racer, Josh Sundquist dressed as the infamous Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story—the 1983 cult classic turned continuously-looped American holiday favorite.
While that’s it for this year, just because Halloween is almost over doesn’t mean there’s no more playing dress-up. PicoBong’s Evilution Series bondage play accessories are always in season and match every birthday suit.
Happy role-playing!
